Ain’t Goin’ Solo

(Written by: Z. Shelton)

I'm out here wishing for the promise land
I know my mission like the back of my hand
Stuff keeps getting in my way
Thing's go wrong and I gotta adjust
But that's ok I put my trust
In the one who made the day
It can get rough on a dusty road
But that's ok you ain't goin solo

Well I've been beat up bruised knocked down
But you have turned my life around
Set my feet on solid ground
Got me dancin' wildly
I just can't seem to believe
What your love has done for me
Now that I've finally broke free
I'm dancing wildly, I'm dancing wildly
yeahh yeahh

Your always there with a helping hand
No doubt you're my biggest fan
Tell me where would I be without you
Ready and steady to help me along
So I wrote you this here song
As my offering to you
It can get rough on a dusty road
But that's ok you ain't goin solo

Well I've been beat up bruised knocked down
But you have turned my life around
Set my feet on solid ground
Got me dancin' wildly
I just can't seem to believe
What your love has done for me
Now that I've finally broke free
I'm dancing wildly, I'm dancing wildly
yeahh yeahh

It can get rough on a dusty road
But that's ok you ain't goin solo
Well I've been beat up bruised knocked down
But you have turned my life around
Set my feet on solid ground
Got me dancin' wildly
I just can't seem to believe
What your love has done for me
Now that I've finally broke free
I'm dancing wildly, I'm dancing wildly
I'm dancing wildly, yeahh yeahh

If Heaven

(Written By: G. Peters)
If heaven was an hour it would be twilight
When the fireflies start their dancing on the lawn
And supper's on the stove and mama's laughing
And everybody's working day is done

If heaven was a town, it would be my town
On a summer day in 1995
If everything I wanted was out there waiting
And everyone I loved was still alive

Don't cry a tear for me now, baby
There comes a time when we all must say goodbye
And if that's what heaven's made of
You know I, I ain't afraid to die

If heaven was a pie, it would be cherry
So cool and sweet and heavy on the tongue
And just one bite would satisfy your hunger
And there'd always be enough for everyone

If heaven was a train, it’d be a fast one
That could take this weary traveler 'round the bend
If heaven was a tear, it'd be my last one
And you'd be in my arms again

Now don't cry a tear for me now, baby
There comes a time when we all must say goodbye
And if that's what heaven's made of
You know I, I ain't afraid to die

Don’t cry a tear for me now baby
There comes a time when we all must say goodbye
And if that’s what heaven’s made of
You know I, I ain’t afraid to die

Yeah, if that's what heaven's made of
You know I, I ain't afraid to die

Little Country Church

(Written By: Z. Shelton)

The floorboards sometimes squeak
And there's a pipe that tends to leak
It's needed a good paint job since 1963
The shingles have been falling off
And there's a bat living in the loft
But the foundation it was built upon
Is solid as a rock

At that little country church
So much love that it nearly hurts
Friendly faces all around about a mile out of town
And there were tears in mamas eyes when uncle bobby got baptized
Yeah, they're putting Jesus first at that little country church

The little choir has a heavenly sound
They sing it out but not so loud
Getting ready for homecoming Sunday
You think you can make it down?
Country cookin' at it's best
But if you're weary from the devils test
You'll find what you're looking for if you're looking for rest

At that little country church
So much love that it nearly hurts
Friendly faces all around about a mile out of town
And there were tears in mamas eyes when uncle bobby got baptized
Yeah, they're putting Jesus first at that little country church

The elders tell the oldest jokes
If you ask me, I love them folks

At that little country church
So much love that it nearly hurts
Friendly faces all around about a mile out of town
And there were tears in mamas eyes when uncle bobby got baptized
Yeah, they're putting Jesus first at that little country church

Amarillo

(Written by: Z. Shelton)

Chicago, Springfield to St Louis
Off to Tulsa and Oklahoma City, She's so pretty
I'm feeling pretty lucky in Shamrock
But oh, 66, you've gotten us lost

Where is that Amarillo
Has it passed me by
Or am I just way to shy
It seems that I have lost it
Or exhausted all my sources dry
I've been searching oh so long now
Have I gone too far?
Oh my dearest, Amarillo
Tell me where you are

My tank is full and I am ready
Speed limit sign keepin me steady
Whatever's up ahead ain't very clear
All I'm sure about is in my rearview mirror
Don't know where I'm goin' but it sure ain't here

Where is that Amarillo
Has it passed me by
Or am I just way too shy
It seems that I have lost it
Or exhausted all my sources dry
I've been searching oh so long now
Have I gone to far? oh my dearest Amarillo

I'm out here wondering
Pondering for that something I can't find
That season, rhyme, or reason
Might give me some peace of mind

Where is that Amarillo
Has it passed me by
Or am I just way too shy
It seems that I have lost it
Or exhausted all my sources

Where is that Amarillo
Has it passed me by
Or am I just way too shy
It seems that I have lost it
Or exhausted all my sources dry
I've been searching oh so long now
Have I gone too far?
Oh my dearest, Amarillo
Oh my dearest, Amarillo
Oh my dearest, Amarillo
Tell me where you are, where you are
Tell me where you are, where you are
Tell me where you are
